What information does this directory collect?

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand pages viewed, approximate location, device information, outbound vendor clicks, searches, filter changes, comparisons and successful claim or removal requests. Contact and claim forms store the details you send so Tawan can review and respond. We do not send form contents to Analytics, enable Google Signals or use advertising tracking. We do not sell your data.

How does analytics consent work?

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics storage is denied by default. A banner offers Accept analytics and Reject with equal weight. Cookie settings in the footer reopens it so you can change your choice. We use the country supplied by Cloudflare, without a third-party location lookup, to decide where to show it. If detection fails, the banner stays hidden and regional defaults remain in place.

Your choice is remembered in localStorage on this browser until you change it or clear site data. If browser storage is blocked, your choice works for the current page but cannot be remembered. Rejection keeps analytics storage denied; GA4 may still send cookieless measurement. Elsewhere analytics storage is granted by default and no banner is shown. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization are denied everywhere. GA4 uses its default IP handling.

What do the forms store, and for how long?

The contact form stores your optional name, reply email, topic, message and submission time. The claim form stores your name, tool website, public contact or verification URL, message, request type and submission time. These are stored in Cloudflare D1 for manual review and follow-up, separately from analytics. There is no automatic expiry: we retain requests until we delete them, including in response to a verified deletion request. Do not send sensitive information.

How can I ask for deletion?

Use Contact with topic Other to ask for deletion of information you previously sent. Identify the request with its approximate date and reply address or public verification URL; we may ask you to verify that it is yours. For removal of a tool listing, use the claim, correction and removal form.
